Megemeria, a philanthropic project established by Yvel owners, is a jewelry school and social business that empowers Ethiopian immigrants by equipping them with the professional and life-skills needed to achieve financial independence as jewelry designers and artisans.
The space for this project was inside a shopping area and the challenge was to blend in the space in terms of materials,texture and colors.
The show cases layout was done in a way so it will allow the visitors to walk easily into the boutique while browsing the store and keep the flow of visitors traffic, i used a wood mosaic tiles to cover the massive column facade and blend it with the surrounding same rough style wood. the water wall feature on the other side of the column is a signature unique concept Yvel use all over their boutiques and show galleries.
